The competition is open to all healthcare professionals with an interest to improve wound outcomes through a person-centred approach and cost-saving practices.

The author can register an expression of interest through the website. Once registered, the author will receive an email confirmation of registration.

The methodology used in the case management needs to incorporate the 7 criteria outlined on the Conditions of Abstract Submission within the 4 weeks of case management.

Yes, you may as long as there is compliance to the Terms and Conditions of Participation.

The subject is a patient related to the theme of the award year.

The wound management of the subject is a minimum duration of 4 weeks.

The category of wound type is based on the theme for the year. This information will be communicated clearly on the ECSA homepage to reflect any change in theme.

All resources for the compilation of the case sharing is borne by the authors and respective institutions.

Storage, access, handling and disclosure of subjects' information is the responsibility of the authors and the respective institutions.

The authors will provide their analysis and rational without bias on the wound management done for the subject, involving periodic wound assessment.

Participation is free of charge.

Award details are listed on the Award page

Awards are awarded to the authors' nominated institution for the purpose of educational grant (i.e.,  congress, trainings, courses, workshops).

Decision on winners and finalists are made by the independent panel of renowned experts listed on the ECSA homepage.

Winners will be awarded within one month after the Grand Final event.

Withdrawal of abstracts can only be accepted by the organiser if notified in writing and subsequently confirmed by the organiser secretariat. Authors may choose to withdraw from participating in the ECSA competition no later than 14 days after the abstract submission deadline.
